What about the cheaters in Fortnite? As in many other games, cheaters are also active in Fortnite exploiting the game. They gain advantages through unfair means and thus determine the outcome of a match.
This is already annoying in normal games, but even more so in competitions where cash prizes are at stake. Developer Epic Games now wants to take stricter action against cheaters and announces new measures against unfair players. The particularity is that even those who play fairly can be punished.

What are the new rules? Epic Games has changed the framework conditions for tournaments. Initially, there will be a cash prize in the finals for competitions in all regions. According to a blog post from Epic Games, this also applies to major tournaments like the FNCS – the Global Championships.
Anyone caught using cheats in such a competition can expect a competition ban of at least 28 days. This ban can be extended depending on the case.
What is particularly notable is that not only the cheater is banned but also all other members of their team. This means that innocent players can also be banned. Epic Games reminds on their website: “Make sure you can trust your teammates to avoid such penalties.”
Players who are banned for 14 days or longer cannot participate in FNCS tournaments in the current season. But that’s not all: Cheaters could also expect legal action from the developer, according to Epic Games.
With these measures, they aim to keep cheaters away from Fortnite and its tournaments as much as possible. Players can also report suspicious behavior at any time.
When do the rules take effect? The new rules already apply from the new season in December.
