Fortnite has conjured up some crazy vehicles from the curtains. This time, however, players can even drive the Battle Bus and annihilate their enemies with it. We will show you how strong they are and where you can find them.
What are Battle Buses? When you play Fortnite for the first time, a friendly bus driver will chauffeur you across the map in his flying bus. This bus is called the Battle Bus and has been consistently used since Chapter 1 to transport players across the map.
For many fans of the BR shooter, the bus is considered a trademark of Fortnite. And now, as the Seven and IO are at war, players can support the construction of armored buses with their gold. With these, they can drive across the map and blast their enemies with heavy artillery.
A fundraising campaign has ended, and the bus can now be picked up by any player, which is why we show you how strong it is and whether it can stand up to a tank.
Bus versus Tank – Who wins?
How strong is the armored bus? Reddit user leoisdoggo has posted a fight between the bus and a tank. This shows you just how strong the bus really is:
As the driver, he drives through Tilted Towers to assess the situation. On the guns on the roof, his teammate is sitting. Both already spot a tank through audio visualization and immediately take aim.
User leoisdoggo uses a boost and rams the tank with full force. The tank remains unfazed and lands a huge shot on the bus. This explodes from the shot, and the bus can no longer be used.
Compared to the tank, the armored Battle Bus is a degraded form of a more mobile tank, with fewer health points but more speed.
The bus does well for ambushing enemies in open fields but poorly at taking damage. If building is reactivated, the bus will be able to hold its own better than the tank.
What can the bus do? The bus offers more space for passengers than regular vehicles. It can score with the following features:
- Space for seven players including the driver
- Equipped with a ramming mechanism
- Two guns installed on the roof – cause more damage to vehicles
- Gun above the driver fires slow projectiles, but of large caliber
- Gun at the end of the bus fires fast projectiles of small caliber
- Can even get a speed boost at the cost of high fuel consumption
Where can you find the bus? The first known bus is located in Sanctuary, in the Seven’s territory. More specimens will only appear in the further camps of the Seven when the necessary donation amount has been reached.
You can recognize the locations by the blue-marked spots on your map. These boundaries mark the territories of the respective factions.
