In Fortnite, there are new Rifts in the game world in Season 5. With the portals, you can jump back into the sky and flee quickly with the glider or launch surprise attacks. Additionally, the Rifts are part of the challenges from week 5 and 8 in season 5. Here you can see a map showing all 22 locations of the Rifts.
What are the Rifts? With the start of Season 5, new Rifts have appeared in the Fortnite game world. These are not the mysterious Rifts from Season 4 that sucked in landmarks like the Tomato Head and spit out new objects.
The new “Hop Rocks”: Rather, the new Rifts are a kind of teleporter that instantly beams you to the sky above your last location as you pass through. From there, you can quickly glide away or drop in on your enemies from behind. They essentially replace the popular Hop Rocks from Season 4. But be careful, you can fall to your death if you don’t deploy your glider manually in time.

The Locations of the Rifts (Rift Map) – Here are the portals in Fortnite
Where are the Rifts? Rifts regularly appear at certain locations. While there’s no guarantee they will appear at a specific spot, you have a good chance of finding a Rift at known Rift locations. As you can see on the map below, the Rifts appear particularly gathered in the desert area of Paradise Palms.
