In FIFA 20 there is now a new special card of Leon Goretzka that can boast values at Icon level. If you have a Bundesliga team, you should definitely scrape together some coins, however the card is not cheap.
Leon Goretzka was able to raise 3.9 million euros for charitable purposes together with teammate Joshua Kimmich through a joint Corona relief campaign. For this engagement, EA Sports introduced a new Goretzka card in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.
This is the Goretzka card: The new Player Moments card of Goretzka is extremely strong with a 91 rating and should be welcomed in any Bundesliga team. It has outstanding values and can keep up with the strongest cards in the game.
You can unlock it through a Squad Building Challenge (SBC) that has no expiration date. So you can take your time. However, the only downside of this top card is the price: The SBC costs around 545,000 coins (PS4, as of April 27) and thus is quite an amount.
Is the Goretzka card worth it?
This is what the card can do: The new special card of Leon Goretzka has values in the endgame range. All stats of his card have no value below 80, and the values even tend to scratch the 90 mark. With Player Moments Goretzka, you get a complete midfielder that can be used excellently offensively, centrally, or even defensively.
Compared to his previous top card, his 88 UCL live version, there are some very strong improvements. The new Moments card especially features grand values in the areas of shooting (90), passing (89), and dribbling (91).
The biggest jumps compared to his also very strong RTTF card occur in the following areas:
- Speed: 85 -> 89
- Shooting: 85 -> 90
- Dribbling: 86 -> 91
This is how you make the card even stronger: You get the most out of the card when you use the chem style “Engine”. This boosts speed, passing, and dribbling to nearly maximum values.
If you prefer to play Goretzka slightly more defensively as a CDM, the chem style “Anchor” is recommended. There, especially the defensive abilities are boosted.
Here’s why you should get the card: If you play a Bundesliga team and only want the best players, then the new Goretzka card is a must. With its absolute top values, it even outperforms 91 Icon Zinedine Zidane. The only disadvantage is Goretzka’s skill moves and weak foot compared to Zidane.
How to get the card
This is what you need to do: You have to complete 3 SBC tasks to secure the new Goretzka card. These are anything but cheap and require many strong cards. If you still have a few strong untradeable cards in the club, the price can be slightly reduced.

The following requirements must be met:
- German players: At least 1
- Inform card: 1
- Team rating: At least 86
- Team chemistry: At least 70
- Number of players: 11
