The assault rifle Krig 6 is drawing a lot of attention in Season 3 and thanks to its strong performance as a versatile long-range weapon in Call of Duty: Warzone. MeinMMO takes a closer look at the new top weapon, presents a tested setup and for whom the weapon is worth it.
What kind of weapon is this? The rifle with the fictional name “Krig 6” is probably inspired by a modified version of the Israeli rifle “IMI Galil”. Sweden developed the “FFV 890” rifle based on the Galil in the late 70s / early 80s, which looks very similar to the Krig (via Wikipedia). Additionally, “Krig” means “War” in Swedish. However, the rifle was not very successful and only about 1,000 units were produced.
In Call of Duty: Warzone, things look different with Season 3, at least in the game. The Krig 6 has gained many fans since the start of the season and is now among the top weapons in Battle Royale.
The versatile weapon focused on range is easy to control, deals decent damage and surpasses the old favorites from CoD MW. MeinMMO shows you why you should prefer the Krig 6 over the old veterans Kilo 141, Grau 5.56, and M13.
Krig 6 takes out the competition at range
What makes the Krig 6 strong? If you don’t pick up a sniper rifle in Warzone, you currently rely on assault or tactical rifles. Precision and stability when firing are the A and O of a strong weapon in this category – and also the basis of the Krig’s strength. Because it is very stable and easy to control.
Its time-to-kill (TTK) is relatively average compared to weapons with high damage output, but with automatic versatile weapons with range, it is more important that your bullets hit. Thus, the Krig stands in direct competition to the similarly precise rivals:
All these weapons are easy to master, remain relatively mobile, and are among the best weapons in Warzone. However, the Krig 6 comes with a strong advantage that makes it more effective at long distances: more damage in the second damage range. Compared to the stable weapons from CoD MW, the Krig 6 loses less damage after its damage drop at nearly 38 meters.

While the weapons from CoD MW significantly drop in damage in the second range, the Krig 6 loses relatively little of its strength. Since the weapons are designed for kills at long distances, the Krig currently wins the comparison and is rightly a strong choice in Season 3.
Who is the Krig 6 worth it for? If you enjoy playing the mentioned competitors, such as Grau or M13, you should consider switching to the Krig. You get your familiar stability and can deal more damage at long distances. The Krig 6 can also keep up with the mobility values and even surpasses the competition in terms of movement speed.

What does this setup bring? The suppressor and barrel increase your bullet speed to the maximum. This allows you to hit distant enemies more easily. The Agency Suppressor provides a bit of range and even helps with recoil. However, your mobility while aiming suffers a bit because of this.
Attach the Field Agent Grip for additional support when firing accurately and opt for the Visiontech sight. The grip reduces horizontal and vertical recoil, and the sight gives you a decent zoom without significantly increasing visual and felt recoil.
This setup is rounded off by the large magazine, allowing you to keep your enemies under pressure for longer.
What else can I try? If you want more zoom, go for the “Axial Arms 3x” sight. It zooms in like a sniper sight but comes without the telling scope reflection. However, this also reduces controllability. With the deep zoom, the movements of the weapon when firing feel stronger, although the recoil is actually not higher. If you can handle this, you have a much higher zoom.
If you choose the Visiontech sight or a smaller sight, you can swap the underbarrel for a mobility stock. The weapon is enjoyable to play even without the grip, and the “Looters Stock” makes it really fast – especially the movements while aiming (strafing).
Krig 6 – Perfect long-range rifle for everyone?
The assault rifle rightly ranks among the best weapons in Season 3. However, the stable Krig 6 is not for everyone – it is rather an alternative if you enjoy precise rifles like M13 or Grau. Especially if you are still using the Kilo 141, a switch is worthwhile.
If you want to focus more on damage, then opt for the powerful CR-56 AMAX or the FARA 83. Both offer setups for high and low distances and pack more punch – but they are also harder to control and might get nerfed soon.
Due to the relatively wide weapon meta at the start of Season 3, personal strengths play a larger role in weapon selection again. With the Krig 6, you have another strong alternative in your weapon cabinet to clean up in Warzone.
