What is it about? Kosei Arima is a gifted pianist who undergoes strict training from his mother. When she dies, the boy suddenly can’t hear his own piano playing anymore and turns his back on music. However, his life takes a completely different turn when he meets the violinist Kaori Miyazono.
Kaori convinces Kosei with her cheerful way of life to return to piano playing. With some persuasion, she gets him to accompany her on the piano in music competitions. Kosei rediscovers his love for music and develops deep feelings for Kaori. However, she struggles with her own tragic secret.
