Where Winds Meet is a comprehensive open-world role-playing game and will be playable on multiple platforms starting November 14, 2025. It also offers crossplay and cross-progression. However, if you want to transfer your progress seamlessly, you need to pay attention to an important point before it’s too late.
What do you need to consider when using cross-progression? If you want to play Where Winds Meet on different platforms and switch seamlessly, you need to link your respective accounts.
You should do this as your first step if you are thinking about transferring your progress to another platform. Because if you create a character on the second platform, meaning you have one on each of the platforms to be linked, cross-progression will no longer be possible.
We will show you here in the next section how to easily link your accounts.
And what about crossplay? Crossplay is also possible between all versions. However, you do not need to link your accounts, and it is activated by default.
Can crossplay be disabled? PC players cannot disable crossplay, but players on PS5 can. It is not yet known whether you can also disable the feature for the mobile versions.
How to use cross-progression in Where Winds Meet
On which platforms is cross-progression available? You can carry over your progress between all PC platforms, iOS, Android, and PS5.
What do you need to do to transfer your progress? If you want to use cross-progression, you need to link the accounts of your respective platforms. It’s best to follow these simple steps:
- Start the game on your desired platform
- Then go to the title screen and click on the icon with the person and the 3 lines
- Then select the option “Link Account / Link Accounts”
Alternatively, you can link your account in the game itself:
- Go to Settings in the game → Other → User Center
- Also select the option “Link Account / Link Accounts” there
Can you also carry over your progress from the beta? If you played in the beta before and want to transfer your character to continue on another platform, you can do that by linking your beta account with that of your new platform.
However, keep in mind that you should not have created a character on the new platform yet.
