In Pokémon GO there is a new special research. And this seems to be causing problems for many trainers.
What kind of research is it? It is the new special research “Dynasty!”, which found its way into the game yesterday. In this research, you can get the first Dynamax monsters.
This research marks the beginning of the new Dynamax feature, which is already partially active in the game since yesterday and will be fully active next Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
However, there are some reports that there are currently problems with the special research, which prevent you from completing it.
“Streak Broken,” Progress Reset
What kind of problem is this? As trainers report in many posts on Reddit, suddenly the message “Streak Broken” appears at the bottom right during the game. After checking the special researches, it becomes clear that the special research “Dynasty!” has reset.
Some trainers also complain that the error occurs when starting the game. While some trainers had all research progress reset, there are other trainers who claim that the previously obtained particles were still counted and only the rest was reset.
Whether the error would have occurred if the trainers had completed all steps quickly is not known.
How can the problem be fixed? So far, there is no known way to stop the error or recover the previous progress.

What does Niantic say about it? So far, there is no official statement from Niantic. When this error will be fixed and whether there will be compensation for the trainers who lost progress due to the error remains to be seen.
