Christopher Nolan recently spoke about his new film “Oppenheimer”. The renowned director expressed his deep admiration for the performance of a particular actor.
Director Christopher Nolan is considered one of the greatest filmmakers of our time, known primarily for complex storytelling in his films.

Through his projects, the director has worked with many well-known Hollywood actors. However, one particular performer seemingly impressed Christopher Nolan quite a bit recently.

“One sets a standard for an actor that very few actors in film history can meet”
Christopher Nolan spoke to the Total Film Magazine about his upcoming film Oppenheimer. In doing so, the director praised the performance of the lead actor Cillian Murphy, known from the Netflix series Peaky Blinders or the Dark Knight films as the villain Scarecrow.
“In truth, there aren’t many actors that can say directly: ‘Yes, we will be this guy for three hours,'” Nolan said.
The director further explained: “One sets a standard for an actor that very few actors in film history can meet.”
Despite having collaborated with the actor several times in the past and being aware of the actor’s talent, he was once again amazed:
“I must say, despite my already great trust in him, he was able to surprise me every day on set. And when we came into the editing room and pieced together the performance and saw the authenticity behind it, I was absolutely overwhelmed.”
When will Nolan’s new film be released? The historical drama Oppenheimer will hit theaters on July 20, 2023. Cillian Murphy plays the lead role of the American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who is known as the “father of the atomic bomb.”
Alongside Murphy, other familiar faces include Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., and Matt Damon.
