– Atsu about his career change
Why is he stepping back now? Atsu announced in a post on X.com (formerly Twitter) that he is ending his career. He links to a 34-page Google Doc in which he details the allegations against him and the streamers behind those allegations.
Among other things, he cites losing everything as a reason for his career end:
Recently, Atsu was in the spotlight as other streamers accused him of gatekeeping events from the Genshin Impact developer. He was said to have blocked these events for other creators. The streamer Braxphone was at the center of this conflict.
Furthermore, the Genshin Impact community alleged that streamer Tectone had Atsu in his sights. Tectone, a member of the OTK network around Asmongold, primarily plays gacha games, and his viewers accuse him of bullying smaller streamers like Atsu.

Another reason for his withdrawal is cited by Atsu as the end of his marriage to fellow streamer Nekkopii. She cheated on him and they no longer live together. However, he has since forgiven her. He addressed this at the beginning of his last streams on June 9, 2024.
He further reports on deeper personal issues. You can read his detailed explanation in the 34-page statement via Google Docs.
Response Docs and Aggression – Accused Streamers React
How do the accused streamers react? In his farewell letter, Atsu names the streamer colleagues he believes are responsible for his current situation. Primarily, he writes about Braxophone (Twitch) and Tectone (Twitch). Both responded to the accusations.
Braxphone posted on X.com that Atsu should stop lying about him and that he feels tricked and deceived.
In fact, both accused have stated that they resolved their differences a while ago in a personal conversation. According to Braxphone, the repeated allegations contradict everything that was discussed in that exchange.
In his post, he linked his own statement via Google Docs, in which he goes into more detail about the allegations.
Tectone, on the other hand, goes on the offensive rhetorically. In a reaction stream, which he also uploaded as a three-hour Youtube video, he addresses every point from Atsu’s document. Among other things, he accuses Atsu of cherry-picking and lying.
Tectone vehemently denies Atsu’s accusations against him. He claims the allegations are manipulated and disappointing. He has no idea what Atsu is talking about and he – Tectone – has evidence for everything he says.
