The Twitch streamer LetsHugo (20) was a guest on the podcast “Henke’s Corner” and talked about his career, his health, and criticism of his content. In between, he revealed what his view of the 20th century is.
What kind of interview was that? The conversation took place as part of the podcast “Henke’s Corner.” The host invites guests from the Twitch and YouTube scene to take a seat in his camping chairs and have a chat “eye to eye” (via funk).
Recently, the format has been a part of funk, the content network of ARD and ZDF. For the kickoff of this new era of his podcast, Henke picked none other than the Luxembourg Twitch streamer “LetsHugo.”
His fans love the 20-year-old for his scatterbrained nature. However, with one statement, he completely threw the usually cool host off balance.
A Knight of the 20th Century
What kind of statement was that? The conversation mostly goes quite normally: Henke and LetsHugo chat about the beginnings on YouTube and trends on Twitch. During this, they share a few jokes while Henke casually lounged in his camping chair with sunglasses on.
However, that changed when the two content creators started talking about their age difference. Henke is 27, meaning that for the 7 years younger Twitch streamer, he comes from a different time.
When he explains to LetsHugo that he was 8 years old in 2004, LetsHugo is shocked: “You were born in nineteen hundred!” For him, anyone whose birth year starts with a 19 is practically a knight, said the 20-year-old. The “switch,” continues LetsHugo, with color television and the internet, only entered his life in 2000.
Here, Henke has to take off his sunglasses to wipe away a few tears of laughter. But with his next statement, LetsHugo adds another layer: “I can’t imagine that there were cars back in 1990.”
The knightly era, it was for the 20-year-old “so nineteen hundred.” In fact, the heyday of knights ended as early as the 14th and 15th centuries.
Henke, who seems about to tip over from laughter, has to collect himself and take a proper sip of water before he can continue the interview. You can check out the entire podcast here, starting from 38:32, you can really feel old:
What else was discussed? Aside from the emotional damage that anyone over 23 likely experienced, several interesting topics were discussed. LetsHugo explained that he started with YouTube at the age of 11 (that was in 2014) – that’s completely normal in the Minecraft scene.
The Twitch streamer also addresses the criticism of his reaction content and explains that he is no longer interested in subathons. These marathon streams made him famous, but currently, everyone is doing that.
Additionally, LetsHugo briefly talks about his Twitch ban, which had just occurred during the recording of the podcast. Since he was at a Minecraft event in Cologne at the time, some viewers speculated that he might have cheated. However, there was something else behind it:
