Hyper Universe (PC) dares to try an interesting experiment. It aims to mix MOBA elements with Beat’em Up battles. The online game is now officially playable – no more early access phase and no beta. Here is the link for the free download on Steam.
Hyper Universe – Online, Beat’em Up and primarily beautifully quirky
A mix of MOBA and Beat em Up? Is that even possible? As Hyper Universe shows, it works. Even if it sounds unusual. The game principle is relatively straightforward:
- You choose a hero from a total of 41 characters. These have different powers that you can further develop.
- Together with a team of other players, you fight in the side-scrolling perspective through the maps and beat up the enemies as in a Beat em Up, while trying to destroy the opposing team and their towers.
Official Launch of the Genre Mix Hyper Universe
At the official launch of the game, there are some new features in Hyper Universe:
- Six new Hypers (heroes): One new Hyper per class has been added: Gulunba (Tank), Camilla (Support), Perseus (Specialist), Han (Striker), Sonya (Bruiser) and Tae’guk (Assassin)
- Performance System: It is now possible to participate in weekly and monthly missions to earn rewards like Hyper Cubes and Game Points (GP). To participate, you need to show achievements like wins in matches or certain ranks in various statistics. Some missions can be repeated multiple times.
- In-game Shop: In the shop, you can find Hypers, inventory expansions and cosmetic skins. You can spend GP or NX Credits that you acquire through your account.
- New Equipment: There are four new equipment items: War Horn, Star Stalker’s Dagger, Executioner’s Scythe and Highwayman’s Helm
- Login Rewards: Those who log in by January 24 and complete a game against AI or other players will receive 30 Hyper Cubes, 6 Hyper Coupons, and 1 Hyper Skin Coupon.
