The sales on Steam are notorious for strong offers that reach for your wallet. However, there is currently a sale on Humble featuring Steam games that also invites browsing.
I am a trained console gamer, only 9 years on Steam and I own only 126 games on the PC platform. My “Pile of Shame” is lower than my stack of unopened letters.
And even though there are surely three invoices waiting on the pile: I like to grab a deal during a good game sale. However, in this current sale, it’s more about you.
When I came across the Humble sale today, so many great games from my library came to mind that I want to encourage you to take a look at the list yourself:
I will show you a list below with games that I can recommend without reservation. However, I want to start here with a PlayStation trailer of my highlight – Rimworld for 26.39 € (20 %):
I don’t even need to scroll, as the first game comes to my attention in the “Popular” category. It’s about Satisfactory, a management game where you build a massive automated factory. The Steam hit is reduced by 40 % and available for 17.99 €.
Next, Valheim pops up directly, a survival adventure that experienced a big hype in early 2021 and is still being developed. Valheim is available for 13.99 € and thus reduced by 30 %.
For fans of building simulations, a “Rare Sale” of Planet Zoo is currently running. Until May 11 at 7 PM, you can get the game for 8.99 € and thus 80 % cheaper.
I could go on forever, but I prefer to list a few worthwhile titles:
- Deep Rock Galactic / 16.91 € / -67 %
- Loot shooter with dwarves, missions, and destructible environment
- Stardew Valley / 11.19 € / -20 %
- Pixel farm sim with a lot of content and a lovely neighborhood
- V Rising / 15.99 € / -20 %
- Vampire survival in iso perspective, will soon get Frankenstein cyborgs
- Faster Than Light / 2.49 € / -75 %
- Rogue-lite for in between, you upgrade and control a spaceship
- Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor – Martyr / 15.99 € / -80 %
- Action RPG in the Warhammer universe – perfect until the Diablo release
Before this gets out of hand, take a look at the sometimes generous discounts on humblestore.com. While browsing, I’ve discovered that there are currently no more Steam keys available for some games, but they will be restocked.
You can actually save even more if you are a member of “Humble Choice.” It’s a subscription that allows you to choose games every month.
But beware: This very subscription is responsible for so many players already accumulating a pile of shame on Steam that the unplanned offspring couldn’t even get rid of. You’ve been warned, and I’ll go through the bills.
