As a special customization option in the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you have watches available for your operator. However, the option remains grayed out until you unlock watches. We will show you how to do it.
What are these watches? The watches in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare give you the chance to customize your various operators. The watches are accessories that the characters wear on their wrists.
They serve no real function, other than displaying the real time and date. Their main purpose is cosmetic.
The option to equip watches is currently still grayed out for many players, with the note that they must earn watches first.
This suggests that some watches can be unlocked through the progression system. However, two watches are already available. We will tell you how to get them.
Unlocking Watches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
These watches are available: In a leak on reddit, the user has already found 23 different watches that players can unlock. Some of these watches have additional features that can be speculated about, such as:
- Kill Tracker
- Step Counter
- Tamagochi Features
Two of the watches have already been confirmed and look exactly as shown in the leak. Which other watches will come is yet to be seen. Currently, it is only known how to obtain the two watches.
Here’s how you can unlock the watches: The two available watches are each tied to actions that you cannot perform in the game itself and require you to pay money.
The first option is the “Endowment” package for €9.99, which you can buy directly through the in-game shop. The shop then directs you to your platform’s page where you can purchase the package.
The proceeds go to an organization supporting war veterans, and you unlock various cosmetics – including the “traditional” watch.
The second option is harder to obtain for Europeans. There is a collaboration between Call of Duty and Totino’s Pizza. The brand has promotional packs with codes in various supermarkets in North America.
If you redeem a total of three different codes, you receive various cosmetics such as charms, a calling card, and indeed a watch.
However, these codes are not available in Europe as mentioned. However, if you have acquaintances in the USA, you might want to ask them for the codes.
Are there more watches? So far, it is not known if more watches will come. However, there is a collaboration between Burger King and Call of Duty.
Recently, Burger King even renamed its official Twitter account to “Burger Town”.
Considering Totino’s, it is also possible that Burger King will offer an exclusive watch.
