The First Berserker: Khazan is a new action role-playing game for Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. During the Opening Night Live of the gamescom 2024, there was a new trailer, the release time window, and a call for the beta test.
What kind of game is this? In The First Berserker: Khazan, you take on the role of the titular hero Khazan. He is a general of the Pell Los Empire. He survived his own death and is now on a quest for revenge, to take down his enemies and traitors.
The hack’n’slay is a souls-like in bloody cell-shading style. It is being developed by Neople and published by Nexon. Whether you will like it can be seen in the aforementioned trailer from the ONL of gamescom 2024:
How to participate in the Closed Beta – With the right console
When is the game expected to be released? According to the trailer, you can fully dive into The First Berserker: Khazan in Spring 2025. The game will be released simultaneously for PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
At least on Steam, you can already add the title to your wishlist. However, if you want to get your hands on it beforehand, you can do so via the upcoming beta phase.
What is there to know about the beta? The closed beta is scheduled to take place between October 11 and 20, 2024. The platforms for this are PS5 and Xbox Series X, and the registration processes differ slightly:
Participation via PS5: Visit the official game website. There you need to register your email address. If you are selected for the beta, you will receive a code to this email at the start of the test.
Participation via Xbox Series X: To participate on Xbox, you need to register via the Xbox Insider App at the beginning of the test. Participants will be allocated based on the order of registration – first come, first served.
Important: The beta will not take place on the Xbox Series S.
Will there be a beta for PC? The announcement on Steam specifically mentions only the PS5 and Xbox Series X as beta platforms. Whether a test for PC is planned is currently unknown.
