Since the big map update, inclined players can play soccer in Fortnite: Battle Royale. But beware – it’s not that easy, especially since an opponent must first be found. With our (not too serious) guide, it will definitely work out!
Instead of constantly bashing each other’s heads, you can also engage in sports activities in Fortnite – and only then bash each other’s heads! If you’re looking for a change from the monotonous shooting, you can try a friendly kick with your friends.
You ask yourselves “which friends”? We will show you how to encourage players to play soccer with you. First, however, you need to find the arena!

If you have gotten used to running around in Tilted Towers in recent weeks, you just need to make a small detour to find the soccer arena. It is located west of the new city in an unnamed area. We don’t know why the name is missing – Soccer Stadium would have been the obvious solution.
Once you have found the building complex, you need to go to the large hall where the soccer field is located – including stands and locker rooms. You can start shooting goals right away, but doing it alone is as exciting as watching a documentary about the mating habits of sloths.
To find an opponent, you depend on your luck. Hopefully, another player has wandered into the area who wants to kick their frustration about HSV’s results from last weekend off. However, you need to inform this player that you want to play soccer and not let the weapons talk (with those, HSV would surely have better chances).
This is how you invite players to a round of soccer!
So that the first trigger-happy Rambo doesn’t shoot you down, you need to signal clearly that you’re looking for another activity. Therefore, lay down your weapons visibly (preferably at the edge of the field) and stand next to them.
Since there is no gesture to wave a white flag, just dance. Every player who appears before you will now be informed. While this doesn’t guarantee that the opponent won’t send you back to the lobby, especially if you found good loot (you should hide a SCAR just in case, you never know).
But at least you signal your good intentions. If the other player lays down their entire inventory, you can start shooting goals!
The game mode and punishment for the loser
One player starts the game and has to guide the ball into the opponent’s goal. Luckily, Epic has installed a score display in the soccer arena – so you always know how the game is going.
The game is played in best-of-three or best-of-five mode, so whoever scores 2 or 3 goals first wins the game. Whether the loser is a good sport will show at this moment.
Basically, the winner has two options:
- Collect the opponent’s loot and leave or
- Shoot the loser as punishment for their terrible gameplay
