In Far Cry: New Dawn you have Prosperity as a home base, which you can further expand with resources. The bonuses that the individual facilities provide can be found here.
What is Prosperity? In Far Cry: New Dawn you have a home base, Prosperity, which you can expand to secure some bonuses. The base has various facilities that can each be developed across three levels, improving both you and your companions in various categories.
To expand, you need ethanol, a valuable resource that your enemies, the Highwaymen, also want. For some upgrades in the base, however, you will also need specialists, whom you can encounter at various locations in Hope County.

What do the facilities provide? In Prosperity, there are eight buildings that can improve you in various areas. All facilities can be upgraded by three levels.
- Cartography – Provides info maps for purchase, more details are visible on the map
- Explosives Lab – Unlocks explosives crafting
- Expeditions –Unlocks expeditions and fast travel
- Herb Garden – Improves the effectiveness of medkits
- Infirmary – Improves maximum health
- Training Camp – Improves the health and damage of your NPC companions
- Workshop –Allows you to craft vehicles.
- Workbench – Unlocks weapon crafting
For example, to craft a higher-tier weapon, you first need the appropriate level of the workbench. You can level up the individual facilities in the menu under “Base”.
Where do I get ethanol? While you can get rare resources from the new expeditions, you need ethanol for upgrading your base. You can obtain ethanol most quickly by taking over enemy outposts.
Outposts serve as fast travel points, but can also be looted and abandoned. This way, you will receive more of the valuable resources for a short time, but the outpost will then be retaken by the villains.
The Highwaymen will barricade the outpost better next time. However, when you retake it, you will also get even more ethanol.
