The Event Total Normal starts in Pokémon GO. We will show you what to expect and how to obtain the new monster.
What kind of event is this? The event starts on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM and runs until Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 8:00 PM. As the name suggests, Pokémon of the Normal type are in the spotlight.
How do I get Dummimisel? At the event, you can evolve Dummisel into Dummimisel for the first time. You will need 50 Dummisel candies for this. In the main series of games, Dummimisel has a 2-segment and a 3-segment form. Whether this is also the case in Pokémon GO and whether the chance for a 3-segment form is only 1% remains unknown.
The chance of finding a shiny Dummisel during the event is also increased. You have a better opportunity to obtain the new evolution faster as shiny.
Other content you can expect in the Total Normal event
Which Pokémon are available? In the wild, you can encounter the following Pokémon during the event:
- Wiesor*
- Dummisel*
- Haspiror*
- Ohrdoch* (rare)
Additionally, Ditto can take on new forms with the start of the event. What those forms are is currently unknown. Once they are known, you will find them in our overview of all Ditto forms. It can also be encountered more frequently in the wild during the event.
All monsters marked with a * can also appear as shiny.
What bonuses are there in the event? Besides the increased shiny chance for Dummisel and the more frequent appearances of Ditto, there will also be double the amount of catch candies and double the amount of experience points when evolving Pokémon.
Event field research and collector challenges are also part of the event. While you can receive items, experience points, and encounters with event Pokémon in field research, the collector challenge awaits with experience points, a lure module, and further encounters with Dummisel.
In the last event, the collector challenge caused a lot of frustration in the community.
Other event content: Starting at the beginning of the event, there will be a new avatar item available in the in-game shop. This is, fittingly for the event, a Dummimisel onesie.
For $1.99 (likely €2.49), you can also purchase a ticket for a limited research. You will receive 5,000 experience points, 2 lucky eggs, and encounters with Dummisel. If you get the ticket from the Pokémon GO webstore, you will also receive 5 hyper balls.
