The Spring Blossom Festival in Monster Hunter: World is now live and brings with it many event quests and new items. Here you will find a list of the materials needed to craft the new Great Sword Wyvern Ignition and the Blossom Outfit.
Some hunters among us have been itching for a few days now, as the Great Sword Wyvern Ignition has proven to be one of the best weapons in Monster Hunter World.
For all those who want to get this fine piece, here is a guide on how to do it.
Wyvern Ignition is here!
The “Wyvern Ignition” Great Sword is not only really strong. It is also the winner of the design competition announced by Capcom some time ago.
The fully upgraded version of the sword has the following stats:
- Rarity: 7
- Attack: 1008
- Affinity: -15%
- Element: Fire (510)
- Slots: 2x Level 1
- Sharpness: White
To unlock this beast, you must first complete the event quest “A Hunter’s Dream,” where you need to defeat a Paolumu and a Rathalos.
This is a Level 5 quest for which you need a Hunter Rank of 8 or higher.

Although the battle takes place in an arena, you can comfortably take on the two individually. Some Thunderbugs will further ease the fight.
As a reward for the quest, you will receive Master Smith tickets.
To obtain the Great Sword, you must bring the tickets and the following materials to the smith:
Base Version: Wyvern Ignition “Steel”
- Master Smith Design x2
- Dragonite Ore x7
- Paolumu Fabric x2
- Rathalos Scalp x2
Final Version: Wyvern Ignition “Impact”
- Master Smith Design x3
- Elder Dragon Blood x2
- Firecell Stone x5
- Wyvern Gem x1
Materials for the Blossom Set
Even though the Blossom Set does not match the Great Sword in terms of stats, you can still get it just for fun for yourself and your Palico.

It is a normal unisex set consisting of 5 pieces and requires the following materials:
- 15 Spring Blossom Tickets
- 8 Carbolite Ores
To craft the Butterfly Set for your Palico, you need:
- 3 Spring Blossom Tickets
- 3 Dragonite Crystals

You can acquire the tickets from various hunts that are active during the festival. So just check by the Resource Center.
