With the second part of the Ultra Bonus, new raid bosses arrive in the arenas of Pokémon GO. We show you the best counters.
This is what the current event brings: The second part of the Ultra Bonus has started in Pokémon GO. Among other things, you can catch unusual Pokémon in the wild, and regional Pokémon are coming in 7 km eggs.
You will now also find new raid bosses. Last week, the raids were all about the Johto journey. This week is all about Deoxys. It can be caught in all its forms in level 5 raids. To achieve this, you can catch suitable counters against Deoxys on lower levels. How you counter them is explained here.
All new raid bosses in Pokémon GO for Ultra Bonus 2
These are the bosses you can fight: Here you can see all the bosses of the new week at a glance. All bosses with asterisks (*) can also be encountered as Shiny.

Additionally, all forms of Deoxys appear on tier 5, which you can effectively counter with the aforementioned bosses and their evolutions.
The current raid bosses at level 1 / tier 1
These bosses are available at level 1: As usual, you should have no problems with the bosses at level 1. Currently, you can challenge Kramurx, Shuppet, Zwirrlicht, and Sheinux at the lowest raid level. You can get them all as Shiny.
The current raid bosses at level 2 / tier 2
These bosses are available at level 2: Level 2 is still manageable without much effort. This week you will encounter Alola Kokowei again. Additionally, Traunfugil, Sniebel, Flunkifer, and Barschwa will appear. Shiny variants are also available here.
The current raid bosses at level 3 / tier 3 – with counters
- Alola Raichu*: Alola-Raichu was also there last week. It is of the Electric and Psychic type. It’s best to build a team with:
- Mewtwo with Psyshock and Shadow Ball
- Gyarados with Bite and Crunch
- Gengar with Dark Pulse and Shadow Ball
- Machoke: The strong Fighting Pokémon is susceptible to Flying and Psychic types. The best counters:
- Mewtwo with Confusion and Psychic
- Zapdos with Air Slash and Sky Attack
- Butz with Confusion and Psychic
- Gengar: The particularly offensively strong Ghost Pokémon Gengar can be taken down best with the following Pokémon:
- Mewtwo with Confusion and Shadow Ball
- Giratina with Dark Pulse and Shadow Ball
- Gengar with Lick and Shadow Ball
- Scyther*: The Flying and Bug Pokémon can be taken down with the following Pokémon.
- Rampardos with Rock Throw and Stone Edge

- Tohaido: Tohaido is of the Water and Dark type. It is, among other things, not a fan of Electric attacks. Try it, for example, with:

- Electivire with Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt

- Absol*: Absol is a Dark-type Pokémon that was also in the raids last week. Try it with Fighting, Bug, or Fairy attacks:

- Hariyama with Counter and Dynamic Punch
- Alola Marowak*: Alola Marowak was also there last week. Good counters are:
- Rampardos with Rock Throw and Stone Edge
- Kyogre with Waterfall and Hydro Pump
- Kingler with Bubble and Crabhammer
- Houndoom: Houndoom is of the Fire and Dark type. You can deal with it well with the following monsters:

- Machoke with Counter and Dynamic Punch
- Tangela: The plant and dark type monster is new this week. Good counters are mainly found among Bug Pokémon.
- Pinsir with Bug Bite and X-Scissor
- Yanmega with Bug Bite and Bug Buzz
- Scizor with Bullet Punch and X-Scissor
- Tyranitar: The fifth boss at level 4 is Tyranitar. With the following Pokémon, you have good chances against the powerful attacker:
