What could performance and FPS look like in GTA 6?
Will GTA 6 achieve 60 FPS? According to the experts from Digital Foundry, it is unlikely that GTA 6 will offer an option for 60 FPS for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
In a discussion on YouTube, they analyzed the trailer, which they believe likely shows a representative version of the game once it is released – at least that was the case with GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Many things are visible in it, like a beach scene filled with various characters. The experts discuss in their video that this will likely be quite demanding for the CPU – and the CPU power will also be needed for other things like the open world, new physics, or animations.
They believe this could become quite intensive for the consoles and one should not expect 60 FPS.
According to Digital Foundry, one should expect rather 30 FPS at 1440p for PS5 and Xbox Series X, while they suspect 30 FPS / 720p for Series S.
What about the PS5 Pro? There is much talk about a possible PS5 Pro. However, in another video, Digital Foundry also discussed the potential upgrade console and its abilities regarding GTA 6 (via YouTube). They also believe that it will likely remain at 30 FPS if the base version for the normal PS5 does not already have the option for 60.
