Where Winds Meet has been playable in the West for nearly a week now. We asked you how you find the game so far. The results show: You are not entirely in agreement on this.

- 281 votes (13% of total votes) find Where Winds Meet “not so good” and expected more

Between Enthusiastic and Skeptical
What are you not in agreement about? While exactly one quarter of all votes rate the game simply as “Good” and can finish the game without much fuss, there are two camps among the higher ranks of the survey: one that is totally enthusiastic about Where Winds Meet and one that is clearly skeptical.
This results in the following votes for positions 3 – 1:
- 443 votes (20% of total votes) find the game “Good” and are satisfied with what it offers
- 507 votes (23% of total votes) feel their gaming experience is “okay” and are skeptical about the long-term motivation
- 722 votes (33% of total votes) are thrilled with Where Winds Meet
This opinion is also reflected in your comments under our posts and shows some points that support your ratings:
- Veoh is excited: “But to be honest, for being completely free, it’s a much better Blade and Soul for what it is, without overly ridiculous fan service and no P2W. In general, a lot of effort and care has gone into this! Deep story, a lot of variety, very elaborately designed areas. It still has a few weaknesses, but let’s see what happens in future updates.”
- diesdasverschiedenedinge writes: “I hadn’t heard about the game until 1 day before release and was a bit tired of WoW. So I just tried it out and was very positively surprised. Except for the incredibly many menus, it’s really fun. It’s somehow Elden Ring x Skyrim x Assassin’s Creed in China. Besides a few frustrating moments with boss fights on Legendary, I’m having a lot of fun and have already sunk 75 hours into it.”
Kyntara is one of those who need new content after just over a week and also addresses another “problem”:
So, I had no problem stopping. As soon as the time gate comes, I’m out and lose all motivation. The first days after release were okay since there was really a lot to do and the time gates were only one day long. Now, with the 9 days time gate, I lost all motivation immediately. […] Yes, I have pretty much done everything in the game after around 110 hours. Believe me, having so much time to play is both a curse and a blessing. Today’s games are unfortunately not designed for no-lifers like me anymore. Back then you could grind MMOs to the limit, today they are limited and artificially stretched out. Don’t get me wrong, I love WWM, but I will wait until more content arrives and the time gates disappear. Have fun to everyone with the game!
The time and level restrictions seem to slow you down at times and slightly diminish your enjoyment of the game. However, in general, it shows: Where Winds Meet is a comprehensive game, especially considering that it is Free2Play, and is mostly well-received in the West.
Since release, the player numbers of Where Winds Meet have been steadily rising, reaching a new peak of players already on the second weekend.
