Final Fantasy XIV – Become a Werewolf for “All Saints’ Wake”
The colorful MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has integrated Halloween into the game lore under the name “All Saints’ Wake.” Each year, the festival has a different theme and offers plenty of quests with rewards.
The entire fun starts at Mih Khetto’s Amphitheater in Old Gridania. However, you must be level 15 and have completed the quest “The Secret of the Sastasha Cave.” There awaits a spooky circus where you can complete tasks. Last year, vampires were the theme; this year it’s all about werewolves. Completing the quests will get you, among other things:
- Cool werewolf costumes
- Pumpkin decorations for housing
- Music for the orchestrion
The event starts on October 19, 2017.
The Elder Scrolls Online – The Witches’ Festival Awaits
In The Elder Scrolls Online, Halloween is known as the “Witches’ Festival” and revolves around the spooky Witches’ Matron. You start the event with a free item from the Crown Store. This summons a raven and starts the quest for the Witches’ Matron.
Once you complete the task, you will get a witch’s cauldron that allows you and your group to transform into undead for the duration of the event. If you have already completed this quest in a previous year, you can summon the cauldron immediately without having to do the quest again.
Additionally, there are special skulls as loot from bosses, dungeons, events, and raids. These can contain recipes, crafting plans, and costumes. Also cool: You can purchase a special witch’s hut, costumes, and an undead horse in the shop for real money.
The Witches’ Festival begins on October 20, 2017.
Guild Wars 2 – The Mad King is Back!
Every year, Guild Wars 2 offers a particularly cool Halloween event. In Tyria, the festival is marked by the Mad King Thorn. The former king of Kryta was known as a cruel tyrant, and once a year, he returns to create chaos.
So you can expect again the spooky tasks like every year:
- The big dungeon “Mad King’s Labyrinth” and the many bosses inside are back again
- You can again try your hand at the devilishly difficult jumping puzzle in the Mad King’s Clock Tower
- Once again, you can confront the mad king directly and endure his jokes
- This year, the PvP event “Mad Inquisition” is back. In this event, all players are harmless villagers. Only one player is an Inquisitor, who can capture villagers and turn them into his kind. This event was not present in the last two years; this year it’s back
As rewards, there will again be all sorts of candies, transformation elixirs, costumes, new gliders, and mini pets. The event begins on October 17.
On Page Three, you can expect some colorful games with Halloween content.
