The Moon Festival in Heroes of the Storm is just around the corner – players can expect bonus quests and some unique skins!
The Nexus in Celebration
Almost simultaneously with the Moon Festival in World of Warcraft, the same event begins in Heroes of the Storm – though it is celebrated differently there. Players can look forward to limited-time quests, special portraits, new skins in the shop, and a fresh mount. If you want to take advantage of the various benefits of the event, you have plenty of time, the celebrations run from February 2 to March 1, so almost a month long.
Temporary Quests
If you’re only after free earnable bonuses, you should focus on the special quests available during the Moon Festival. This includes a new (and additional) daily event quest, as well as a longer task that applies throughout the entire event.
Every day you will receive the task “Catch the Ancestor Monkey” and the name says it all. In each game, you have a 50% chance that the monkey will appear before the start of a match. The team must work together to slow it down and then catch it. If successful, you get 100 gold (once per day).
A total of 25 games must be completed to receive the portrait “Ancestor Monkey” – a victory is not required and the matches can also be completed in battles against AI.
New Shop Items – Jaina and Illidan in Japanese Style
As it should be, the Moon Festival also comes with unique skins. Besides last year’s skins, namely Moon Festival Chen and Moon Festival Li Li, this time there are two newcomers. Jaina and Illidan put on stylish, Asian festive clothing and can be purchased as part of a bundle. Only those who buy this “Bundle: Moon Festival 2016” will also enjoy the new mount “Moon Festival Dragon.”
