For almost two weeks now, you can play the Necromancer in Diablo 3. Now Blizzard wants to adjust the balancing and make the sets equally strong. Will there be a new top build for the Necromancer in Diablo 3?
The hotfix for 2.6.0 was originally scheduled for July 7, but has been postponed to Monday. The biggest change affects the Rathma Set for the Necromancer:
The set bonus for 6 pieces now grants 625% (previously 250%) bonus damage for your pets and the skill Army of the Dead for each active skeletal mage in your group. Additionally, you only need to summon 4 skeletal mages (previously ten!) to receive the full bonus on the 6 pieces. More skeletal mages can, of course, be summoned, but are not necessary for the bonus. The maximum number of summoned skeletal mages remains unchanged (ten).
In addition to other small fixes, the Inarius players of the Necromancer in Diablo 3 will also be affected on Monday. The combination of the Inarius Set with the legendary gem Mirinae caused the effect of the gem to trigger too frequently (chance of holy damage with a high weapon damage multiplier). This will not happen as often starting Monday.

Hotfix Diablo 3: Balance change is necessary
Mein MMO says: The changes to the Rathma Set are necessary as it was not competitive, especially in the endgame. The set bonus can be maintained much more easily with just four skeletal mages. Whether the set can now keep up with the Inarius build and a new top build for the Necro in Diablo 3 will emerge remains to be seen.
The current top build for the Necro will change anyway.
The changes to the Inarius Set will likely render the Mirinae gem obsolete. It just doesn’t bring as much as it used to. Which gem will you replace Mirinae with? Feel free to let us know in the comments.
