The German Twitch streamer Isabell “HoneyPuu” Schneider reports that she has been excluded from events due to criticism of colleagues. Previously, she had commented on German content creators who do not take their uncomfortable situation with a supposed cyberstalker seriously and mock it.
What is the situation? The Twitch streamer HoneyPuu has been affected by a supposed cyberstalker for almost a year. A man repeatedly posts videos in which he apparently believes he is in a relationship with the Twitch streamer. The videos include declarations of love, but also anger towards HoneyPuu.
However, the situation has not been taken seriously by fellow streamers or the community. Some German streamers indirectly made fun of HoneyPuu in the context of games like Make It Meme or Gartic Phone. The streamer criticized the behavior of her colleagues, both privately and publicly, according to her own statement.

What are the consequences for HoneyPuu? In a stream over the Easter weekend, HoneyPuu reported that she is being excluded from the German Twitch scene after her public criticism. Streamers Rohat and Knossi, both involved in the meme games, have unfollowed her.
Furthermore, she will likely not be invited to events and projects of her streamer colleagues in the future, such as Minecraft projects like CraftAttack or Fitnacraft.

HoneyPuu further explains that she wrote to Rohat, the organizer of such a meme round, about this situation a while ago. In the context of a round of Make It Meme, memes about HoneyPuu and her stalking situation were created.
She criticized that the round was not canceled once memes about her were created. A discussion arose between the two, in which they did not come to a common understanding.
Why is this such a problem? Events have become a huge thing on Twitch. They thrive on entertaining interactions between content creators and can help smaller streamers get noticed by a larger audience.
When a larger event takes place, it usually gives participants a significant boost. Furthermore, an invitation shows that one “belongs.” Being excluded from such events can, on the other hand, mean less reach and thus also less income for non-participating streamers.
The fact that her criticism apparently has negative effects on HoneyPuu’s career could also discourage other affected individuals from going public with their experiences.
