YouTuber Andang introduces you to the new areas that await you with the Mordor expansion of the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online.
With the new expansion, it’s finally heading towards Mordor, where the actual story of The Lord of the Rings ends. However, that doesn’t mean that the MMORPG will also come to an end. The developers have already announced their intention to tell more stories. But for now, “Mordor” is on the agenda. The YouTuber Andang will show you what the areas there look like.
The Regions of Mordor
Udun
Through the Black Gate, you reach the land of Udun. Here, you will find an area full of forges, bordered by two fortresses. The forges of Anglach to the north and Durthang to the south. Udun is said to be a very dark and threatening place.
Barad-dûr
The Tower of Barad-dûr plays an important role in the story of The Lord of the Rings. It is the fortress of the Dark Lord Sauron, which you may explore in the MMORPG. Here, you will find a dangerous yet very impressive area.
Cirith Ungol
Cirith Ungol was a pass in The Lord of the Rings through which the Hobbits Frodo and Sam had to sneak to reach Mount Doom. In the game, you will find the area after an unusual event. Orcs have died by the thousands, and webs are hanging everywhere. Did the giant spider Shelob wreak havoc here?
Mount Doom
Mount Doom, known in English as Mount Doom, is the place where the One Ring was forged and must also be destroyed. The massive volcano is surrounded by lava and lots of dangerous monsters, making it difficult to survive the missions here.
Seregost
Seregost is a fortress in the Arganaith region of northern Mordor. Seregost is the place where the Uruk-Hai are bred. Arganaith is a rather unusual area for the rest of Mordor, dark yet also beautiful and full of blood!
Currently, the development studio Standing Stone Games is allowing selected players to thoroughly test “Mordor” to release the expansion at an undisclosed time this summer.
