In the Free2Play MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online, the One Ring still exists a little longer than planned. The expansion Mordor is being delayed.
In fact, today was supposed to be the day the One Ring was destroyed. The MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online planned to launch its expansion “Mordor” live today, on July 31. But that will not happen for now.

The expansion “Mordor” takes place after the destruction of the One Ring. The heroes are dealing with the aftermath of its destruction.
But that will not happen. As the development studio Standing Stone Games announced at short notice, they have found a problem related to the movement patterns of monsters and NPCs. This is an issue that mainly occurs in older game content.
Standing Stone Games will need “a little while” to solve the problem. Therefore, they will delay the expansion Mordor and cannot keep the planned date.

Mordor brings over 300 new quests, High Elves as a new race
The expansion Mordor will introduce a new playable race with the High Elves. In addition, over 300 quests and hundreds of new deeds await players. A raid in Mordor is also planned.
For a while, it seemed that this year could be the last for the F2P MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online. The developer studio Turbine is transitioning away from MMORPGs towards mobile.
Fans feared Lord of the Rings Online could go under. Instead, at the end of 2016, the MMORPG teams from Turbine separated and continue under their own banner, Standing Stone Games. The license for Lord of the Rings and the future of the MMORPG seem secure.
Release of Mordor is now on Wednesday
Update 1.8. 1:00 AM: The release date for Mordor is now clear – Community Manager Cordovan announced it.
The expansion Mordor and update 21 will arrive on Wednesday, August 2. The servers will go offline around 1:00 PM our time and should be back online with the expansion Mordor at LOTRO around 6:00 PM our time.
