Hot mounts in a cross-promotion between WoW and HotS – but time is running out.
The developer Blizzard is known for offering a lot of “cross-promotions” between its different games, where fans are rewarded in one game for checking out another. In the coming weeks, there will be another such action where all fans of World of Warcraft can earn an exclusive mount by spending some matches in the MOBA Heroes of the Storm.
The task is somewhat more complex than usual: a total of 15 games must be completed while being in a group with a friend (a player on the friends list). You must play a character from the Warcraft universe.
Which character the friend plays does not matter for the quest, and not all 15 matches have to be completed with the same friend.
In total, there are 3 rewards for successfully completing this mission:
- World of Warcraft: Mount Primal Fire Saber
- Heroes of the Storm: 10-day Stimpack
- Heroes of the Storm: Mount Flame Steed of Judgment
The special quest is available from February 15, 2017, to March 14, 2017 – whether the rewards will be available again afterwards is unlikely.
Those who want to secure both mounts – in WoW and HotS – should cancel some raids in the next 4 weeks to check out some matches in Blizzard’s MOBA with their teammates. Because the mounts look hot in any case.
