In Heroes of the Storm the third Overwatch hero Lúcio is online. In addition to the hyped support character, there is also the event “For Azeroth”. In this event, you can earn two exclusive mounts. Additionally, numerous heroes have been adjusted, including the previously too weak Murky.
After Heroes of the Storm recently suffered from a large plague of assassins from the World of Warcraft setting, now a hero from the fresh and untapped Overwatch universe emerges: The quirky and energetic DJ Lúcio.
Since Lúcio’s music is intended to promote peace and friendship, there’s the event “For Azeroth”, where you can score mounts when you play with your friends.
Heroes of The Storm: Overwatch Hero Lúcio is here
The biggest highlight of the Lúcio patch is of course Lúcio himself. Just like with his Overwatch counterparts Tracer and Zarya, the developers have carefully ensured that Lúcio’s skills remain as close to the Overwatch template as possible.
Therefore, HotS Lúcio has both of his auras, which either heal or speed up the team. He can also boost the aura effect and distribute a shield as an ultimate. As another ultimate, he has an exclusive skill in Overwatch that allows his auras to deal damage or slow enemies.
You can buy Lúcio for 15,000 gold in the game or acquire him for €9.99 in real money. Additionally, there’s the “Ribbeat Packet”, which includes Lúcio himself and his silly frog skin, for €13.11.
For Azeroth – Mounts for everyone!
From February 15 to March 14, you have time to earn a fiery saber mount for World of Warcraft and a flame horse of judgment in Heroes of the Storm. All you need to do is complete 15 matches together with a player from your friends list.
New Skins and Bug Fixes
Aside from Lucio and the mount action, there are also special Valentine’s Day packages:
- The classic “Love is in the Air Package”, which contains Anub’Arak and Lt. Morales along with their cute Valentine’s Day skins. It costs €13.92
- A new “Love is in the Air 2017” package. In it, you will find Tyrande as the goddess of love and a flying heart mount for a total of €14.93
The packages from the moon festival have been removed.
Blizzard has also fixed a few bugs and made adjustments to heroes. These include:
- The lamp from the time trap skill in Chromie’s Enchanting Chromie Skin now always points west.
- In Murky’s Gurgli Skin, the fish are now better distinguishable.
- The Earthquake of Thrall is now better recognizable at the edges.
- Kharazim now costs only 7,000 gold or €8.49.
- Graumähne’s skill Blood Trail is now called Cursed Ball. The skill only hits heroes and always deals 35 percent of the current health as damage. Additionally, there is a new talent that allows the ball to hit multiple enemies.
- Since Thrall’s ultimates were always slightly interrupted, they now also activate despite interruption.
- Valeera receives a damage buff and many of her skills receive slight improvements.
- Murky was at the very bottom of the previous tier list. Therefore, he has been massively improved, gains more health, and all his skills have been buffed. Additionally, he will receive new talents, including one that gives him more health after hatching.
- Even Lúcio receives a slight damage buff at release compared to the test server version, and some of his skills are slightly improved.
