A heavy bug forced Blizzard to ban the hero Kael’thas from Heroes of the Storm. We have the details for you.
Kael’thas – Infinite Living Bombs without Mana Cost
The fact that Blood Elves tend to cast one too many spells can be attributed to their mana addiction, but what was possible with Kael’thas in recent days has even the biggest arcane junkie rubbing their eyes in disbelief. The prince obviously was tired of setbacks and took fate into his own hands. Due to a bug, it was possible to cast the spell “Living Bomb” infinitely – and without cooldown or mana cost. This video demonstrates how it looks in the game:
The bug turned out to be so serious that Blizzard temporarily disabled Kael’thas in all ranked game modes until the issue was fixed – which was addressed with the patch last night.
Balancing Changes: Even More Power for Kael’thas
Last night (April 12, 2016), Blizzard also released a patch that brought some changes to the balance. Despite the aforementioned bug, Kael’thas is definitely on the winning side of these changes, as he gains both an increase in his maximum HP and increased damage from his Flame Strike, which will no longer be enhanced by the deep green spheres. The living bomb also now deals more damage.
Other important changes include:
- Abathur’s Monstrosity receives more health points and can generate more stacks through minion kills.
- Brightwing’s Emerald Winds now passively increases the healing of Soothing Mist by 8%.
- Tyrande’s Lunar Flare deals nearly 40% more damage and has reduced mana cost/cooldown.
A list of all adjustments can be found in our sources.
