The Winter Veil Festival in Heroes of the Storm is approaching. In addition to free bonuses, there are also stylish new skins available in the shop.
At Blizzard, it is more or less a tradition to hold special in-game events around Christmas, and Heroes of the Storm is no exception. From December 15, 2016 to January 4, 2017, the Winter Veil Festival takes place in the Nexus, offering a special quest, additional experience points, and plenty of discounts in the shop.
Basically, there is a 25% XP bonus during this time, which can be stacked with other bonuses – such as playing with friends or a booster.
Additionally, there is a quest that requires you to complete a total of 25 games in Heroes of the Storm. However, these cannot be played in Heroes Brawl but only in Quickmatch or ranked modes. Those who complete the quest will permanently receive the Holidays Goblin Mount!
The two new event skins, Winter Veil Lunara in cute reindeer form and Gingerbread Nazeebo, which looks quite creepy, were already showcased at BlizzCon in November. In the following video, you can see the two skins in action:
Aside from that, the classic skins from previous years are also available again in the shop, such as Old Man Kael’thas, Old Man Rehgar, Sugar Plum Sylvanas, and Winter Veil Jaina. Anyone looking to complete their collection of special skins should check back into the MOBA in the coming days.
