In Heroes of the Storm, a new Easter egg has now been revealed, which is both a tribute to Diablo and all other MOBAs.
The inventory is full!
Blizzard is known for hiding lots of Easter eggs in its games. This starts with the funny quotes that various characters say when clicked many times and ends with little secrets, that are revealed years later. No one, not even the employees themselves, knows how many Easter eggs have not been found yet.
In Heroes of the Storm, clever players have now uncovered another secret. On the Battlefield of Eternity, a small weapon rack can be clicked repeatedly and after a short time drops a green weapon. However, when the player tries to pick it up, they receive the message “The inventory is full.”
This is not only a reference to Diablo but also a wink towards the other MOBAs – almost everywhere, heroes can be upgraded with armor and swords, but not in Heroes of the Storm. Here, one relies on a talent system.
The sword has another effect: when completing the match, a small treasure goblin appears, who makes off with the loot – will the gold-giving creatures return someday?
