Blizzard’s MOBA game Heroes of the Storm has a new hero from Overwatch: the mech pilot D.Va. She fights as an offensive tank and can kill enemies with an emote from Overwatch.
In Overwatch, D.Va is one of the more unusual heroes. On one hand, she is gigantic in her mech, but on the other hand, she is tiny when the bulky mech is destroyed. And her ultimate ability is to destroy herself. Quite quirky!
Now D.Va has arrived in Heroes of the Storm and has learned to stomp her opponents into the ground with her favorite emote.
Heroes of the Storm – D.Va and the Bunny Hop of Death
From now on, D.Va is available in Heroes of the Storm as the 5th Overwatch heroine. And as always, the developers at Blizzard have put in a lot of effort to optimally adapt her skills to the MOBA. In D.Va’s case, some cool new features have been added:
- Self-Destruct is no longer the ultimate ability of the heroine. Instead, she builds this skill up alongside in the game.
- D.Va has two ultimates available. When her mech is destroyed, she is on foot and must earn a new mech by dealing damage. Her ultimate in this form is “Big Shot”. This is a strong skill shot attack that deals damage and fills the bar for the new mech faster.
- In mech mode, D.Va has a particularly cool ultimate attack called “Bunny Hop”. In Overwatch, this is just a funny emote. In HotS, however, D.Va jumps up and down while moving and squashes every opponent in the process. Not bad for an emote!
But be careful not to lose the mech too often with D.Va. This gives the opponent 50 percent of the experience they would receive for a complete kill each time.
HotS – New Starter Pack with Goodies and Further Adjustments
In addition to D.Va, a new patch is also coming that changes the map rotation and expands it from six to nine maps. Furthermore, the heroes Alarak, Tyrande, and Dehaka have been adjusted. The nasty Protoss gains more sadism from dead opponents, Tyrande’s healing is cheaper and less powerful, and Dehaka now has more attractive talents.
On May 22, a special starter pack will also be released for HotS, which includes the following goodies:
- 800 Gems
- Special Loot Box with at least one hero
- Rare Loot Box
- Epic Loot Box
- 7-Day Stimpack
- Zebra Mount
