The abilities of the next hero from Heroes of the Storm are well known. Auriel can not only heal, but also deal solid damage.
Auriel can resurrect in battle
The next character for Heroes of the Storm has been talked about for a while, as Blizzard has been teasing the angelic lady Auriel from the Diablo universe for quite some time. Now the official website for the new hero has been released, giving a first look at her abilities.
Accordingly, Auriel has the following spells:
- Her trait is Bestow Hope, which is cast on an ally. As long as the ally stays close to Auriel, the ally’s attacks empower Auriel with energy, which can then be used for “Ray of Heaven”.
- Sacred Sweep damages all enemies in a cone-shaped area. Targets in the middle of the cone take double damage.
- Her healing ability is Ray of Heavens, which consumes all accumulated energy to heal nearby allies.
- Detainment Strike deals damage to the first hero hit and pushes them back. If the target collides with a wall, it takes double damage and is stunned for 1.25 seconds.
- Her first heroic ability is Crystal Aegis. An ally is put into stasis for 2 seconds. Once the effect ends, all enemies nearby take significant damage.
- The second heroic ability is called Resurrect. Auriel summons the spirit of a fallen ally over 3 seconds and resurrects them with 50% of their health.
Thus, Auriel is the first character that can bring dead heroes back into the game. How she plays will likely be tested on the PTR over the next few weeks.
