The battle royale shooter Fortnite has a lot of emotes that you can use to celebrate your victory and taunt your opponents. Dances are particularly popular among fans. What dances are available, how to buy, gift, and return them, you will find out here.
Dances are an integral part of Fortnite: Fortnite has a long tradition of snatching various dances from real life and making them even more popular in the game. Therefore, there are famous emotes like the “Floss” dance from a Katy Perry video (The Floss) as well as various moves from well-known artists.
Fortnite dances are part of pop culture: The dances from Fortnite are now so popular that they are used by football players on the fields to celebrate goals. However, some artists complain that Epic appropriates their moves without permission. Many players believe that the dances originate from the game instead of from the works of the actual artists.
What dances and emotes are available in Fortnite?
In the following galleries, we will list the dances from Fortnite that we have found in the game so far. If new dances and emotes come out, we will update the galleries. We will divide the dances by rarity into three galleries. A compilation of the dances is available in this video:
The unusual dances
These moves are available for 200 V-Bucks each. That’s about 2 euros per dance.
The rare dances
These dances go for 500 V-Bucks each. That would be about 5 euros in real money.
The epic dances
Those who want these epic emotes have to fork out 800 V-Bucks. That’s around 8 euros.
The dances from the Battle Pass and Promotions
These dances were previously only available through the Battle Pass seasons or promotional events. Whether and when they will be available again is unknown.
By the way, there’s a Top Ten of the rarest dances here:
How to buy dances
Buying dances is easy: If you want to buy a dance in Fortnite, you just need to check the shop in the game. There are always a few dances available.
When do new dances come to the shop? New offers are loaded into the shop every night. New emotes are also among them. But when and if a particular dance will be in the shop again is known only to Epic. So if you really want a certain move, you should keep an eye on the shop and act quickly.
What do dances cost? Dances are available – unlike skins – in only three rarity levels. Legendary emotes have not been spotted yet. The different tiers cost different amounts of V-Bucks:
- Uncommon: 200 (approx. 2 euros)
- Rare: 500 (approx. 5 euros)
- Epic: 800 (approx. 8 euros)
All info on returning, selling, and gifting emotes
How can you return dances? If you want to return an emote (or any other shop item apart from Battle Pass levels and the pass itself), you must proceed as described in this article on returning skins. However, keep in mind that you can only do this a total of three times and only for purchases within 30 days.
How can you sell dances? Not at all, there’s no legal way to transfer a dance or any shop item in the game for money to other players.
Can you gift dances? A feature for gifting skins, dances, and other shop items is planned, but is not currently in the game. If anything changes there, we will explain it here.
Would you rather have outfits and skins instead of emotes? You can find them here:
