Igris
Who is that? Igris was a high-ranking knight who confronted Jin-Woo in the finale of the first season in his second double dungeon. As the guardian of the examination room, he fought Jin-Woo in a duel that marked the beginning of his rise.
Igris originally served the Shadow Monarch Ashborn, an ancient being with immense power. Reviving Igris as a shadow was not easy, as Jin-Woo needed several attempts to successfully incorporate him into his army.
Why is he so strong? For a long time, Igris was Jin-Woo’s strongest shadow warrior. He is a master swordsman and embodies discipline and loyalty. When Jin-Woo first encountered him in the double dungeon, Igris was clearly superior to him.
If Igris had used his weapon in the duel, Jin-Woo would have had no chance. But out of respect for Jin-Woo’s courage and determination, he laid down his sword and faced the intruder in hand-to-hand combat.
