Beru
Who is that? Beru was the ant king and the final boss of the “Jeju Island” arc. In the anime, he appears towards the end of Season 2, as the Hunter Association tries to stop the invasion of the magical ants on Jeju Island. Years earlier, a gate had burst there that originally held back the monsters. Since then, the freely roaming creatures pose a serious threat to humanity.
Beru defeated even S-rank hunters with alarming ease, bringing humanity to the brink of disaster. Had Jin-Woo not appeared in time, the mission would have inevitably failed.
Why is he so strong? As king of the magical ants, he combined raw power, extreme speed, and deadly precision. He also has poison abilities and wings for aerial combat, allowing him a versatile fighting style.
After his rebirth as a shadow, he not only retained his enormous strength but also evolved: he masters human speech, thinks strategically, and shows a deep-seated sense of loyalty to Jin-Woo.
