Rank ???: Corvus Corax (Raven Guard)
Lastly, on the list is Corvus Corax, the Primarch of the Raven Guard—and that’s because he is not really classifiable. Among all the Primarchs, Corvus Corax is actually the weakest or at least one of the weaker ones.
Or rather: he used to be. His Raven Guard has suffered enormous losses, and in an effort to make the chapter grow back faster, many new Space Marines have been mutated due to a trick by the Alpha Legion. Corax himself has continuously blamed himself for this until he eventually disappeared into the Warp to do penance and hunt down the chaos and his treacherous brothers.
The Warp has changed Corvus Corax so much that he can become a shadow and gain additional abilities. Nowadays, the Primarch is thus more of a Warp entity, the exact strength of which is not really known. Assessing him is therefore impossible.
There are stories and entire novels about many of the Primarchs; at the moment, Games Workshop is even in the process of bringing some of the missing fathers back into the universe. If you want to learn more about them, it’s best to start with the books. You just need to know where: There are over 350 books on Warhammer 40,000 – Here are the 15 best to get into the world
