Rank 7: Rogal Dorn (Imperial Fists)
Rogal Dorn was considered one of the best strategists among the Primarchs and the best when it came to defensive strategies. He was even the first Lord Commander of the Imperium of Man and thus the de facto leader in the Emperor’s absence.
A super-heavy battle tank of the Imperium is named after Rogal Dorn. His specialty, like that of all Imperial Fists, lay in defense, siege warfare, and strategic warfare.
In a large-scale war, Dorn could likely pose no danger to anyone. A fortress world of the Imperial Fists is still considered almost impregnable today. Dorn’s combat style reflected this as well.
The Black Templars are a successor chapter of the Imperial Fists and thus also descendants of Rogal Dorn – but do not adhere strictly to rules:
Most foes likely could not have defeated Dorn, even if they were physically matched – simply because he could wear them down with his resilience. His power armor is made of the same material as that of the Emperor himself.
Other Primarchs who are not as resilient could eventually defeat him given enough time, as they are offensively simply superior to him. Yet, he should still be credited with a victory against Alpharius, the Primarch of the Alpha Legion—which no one exactly knows whether they are actually loyal or not.
