Soon, more players will get the chance to defend the Over-Earth in Helldivers 2. In this context, a new trailer was released, but fans are especially going wild over a small sound at the end of the video.
What kind of trailer is this? Helldivers 2 released a new trailer on YouTube for the Xbox launch of the game titled Bring the Boom
. The co-op shooter showcases its best features. It shows everything you need to know to defend the Over-Earth: huge explosions, gigantic bugs, chaotic teamwork, and democracy.
Together with the music, the trailer prepares Xbox players for the game’s launch on August 26, 2025. However, the greater attention is currently on a music snippet at the end of the trailer that seems to come from Halo 3 ODST.

A small sound gives the community hope for a new guest
What kind of sound is this? At the end of the trailer, you see an urban area in the rain, and a short sound plays. Following that, a Hellpod lands in the area. Fans of the Halo shooter series recognized immediately: This is from Halo 3: ODST.
Fans are now hoping for a possible crossover with the video game franchise that is one of Microsoft’s gaming mascots. Accordingly, the comments about the topic are also very full in a Reddit post:
- The user Praedyth- (Reddit) verbalizes the feelings of many Halo fans:
It’s crazy how much just three notes of a crying saxophone can mean.
- Bolt_995 (Reddit) finds the combination of the logos amusing:
Halo 3 ODST teaser at the end, followed by the PlayStation outro lol, what times we live in
- Irish_R3bel (Reddit) is simply speechless:
BRO, my jaw dropped in the last minute!
What could this mean? So far, there is no official information about what the sound at the end and the small hint really mean. However, many fans feel reminded of the collaboration with Killzone.
In that case, there were weapons and armor fitting to the PlayStation franchise. The same could be possible with Halo. The big question would only be whether such content would also be available for all consoles and PC. What exactly the end of the trailer means will probably only be revealed in the coming weeks.
