PSN Requirement for Steam Players Infuriates Everyone: Undemocratic
What is the cause? These negative reviews are concentrated on a single change: PC players of Helldivers 2 on Steam will soon need a PSN account to be able to play Helldivers.
We reported on this on MeinMMO. The change makes no sense to the players at all.
“The Automatons Have Taken Over Sony”
What the negative reviews say: One review claims that the evil automatons have taken over Sony and made a decision to reduce the number of Helldivers. This is profoundly undemocratic. And this “tyranny” must come to an end.
Another user says he bought the game on Steam to play it on Steam. He does not have a PSN account and does not want one. The behavior is absurd and unacceptable, and he would refund the game if he could.
What happens next? This seems to be a very tense situation that appears not only illogical but indeed highly undemocratic.
It remains to be seen whether Arrowhead will leave it as is or take action. So far, the game seemed to be able to do no wrong, but those times seem to be over.
A similar incomprehensible move was recently made by the also very popular shooter Escape from Tarkov: Escape from Tarkov responds to harsh criticism of the €250 package and makes it worse
