The new expansion of Helldivers 2 has launched. This brings the war to the home worlds of the bugs. Even the trailer promises: It will be dark, gloomy, and dangerous.
What kind of expansion is this? With “Into the Unjust”, Helldivers 2 received its latest expansion on September 2. The Helldivers are dispatched to attack the bugs where it hurts the most: on their home worlds. These have changed not only superficially but also underground due to the long reign of the Terminites.
Now the Helldivers must climb into new tunnels where they will fight against new and improved enemies with limited resources and in complete darkness. This resembles more of a horror movie than the typical battles of soldiers.

New expansion changes the gameplay experience
What distinguishes the expansion? While past expansions primarily brought new enemies and locations alongside the story, the developers have come up with something entirely different this time.
“Into the Unjust” completely changes the gameplay of Helldivers 2. While before, firepower was often the right way to achieve success, the co-op shooter is now becoming increasingly tactical. The group must choose between lighter weapons with flashlights and heavy weapons without light.
Reinforcements from the surface are also available only through small holes connected to the surface. Therefore, ammunition must be managed even more carefully.
Through the new environment and the different way of playing Helldivers 2, the developers are changing more than usual about what makes the game. The trailer has already stirred many emotions among fans.
