Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will receive a new DLC in just a few weeks that shows you a completely different aspect of life in the Middle Ages. The developers revealed first information about it during the FYNG show.
What kind of DLC is this? After the first DLC “Brushes with Death” in May 2025, the 2nd DLC, which is also included in the Expansion Pass, will follow soon. The next adventure of Heinrich, called “Legacy of the Forge,” is coming soon.
In the DLC, you will not only get your own plot of land to design, but you will also learn the profession that your foster father mastered. This was shown by the developers Warhorse Studios at gamescom 2025 during the FYNG show.
The announcement took place during the FYNG-Show (Find your next Game) by GameStar, GamePro, and MeinMMO at gamescom.
After hard battles comes a peaceful life
Will one become a blacksmith? Exactly, just like Heinrich’s foster father Martin, you will take over a forge in Kuttenberg in the new DLC, which not only comes with a workshop but an entire property. There you can design the interior and exterior, but also devote yourself to the blacksmith profession. On your property, you can build other crafting stations.
There will also be small and larger new mechanics in the DLC.
The DLC is also meant to be a bit lighter. You should experience an immersive city life in which you expand your forge and improve your craft. The progression mechanic will be a blacksmith prestige that you can level up through activities. Money will not always help you. The many new activities are meant to rotate daily.
In addition, there will also be a main story that you can follow. Decisions are said to be relevant, influencing the development of your forge. While blacksmithing is the focus, it should not be mandatory for progression.
In the preview, the developers emphasized that Legacy of the Forge should not become a building game. You should relax as a blacksmith in the calm city life.
In addition to the paid DLC, there will also be a free patch. This will include among other things the following:
- Update for the photo mode
- Minor fixes
- Adaptive HUD
