Hearthstone: When is the release of Gadgetzan? [Update: It is live!]

The Streets of Gadgetzan from Hearthstone celebrates its release. But when exactly does it start for us?

For all fans of Hearthstone, a great day has dawned, as Blizzard has scheduled the release of the latest expansion “The Streets of Gadgetzan” for today (12/01/2016) – at least that was the previous assumption. As Blizzard announced via their Twitter channel, the expansion will not launch in Europe until a day later, so on 12/02/2016.

Hearthstone: What time does it start exactly?

A specific time for the release has not yet been announced. However, if Blizzard follows the release pattern of previous expansions, then “The Streets of Gadgetzan” will likely start late at night, around 01:00 AM. We will update this article as soon as a definitive statement is made or if the release surprises us.

The Streets of Gadgetzan includes a total of 132 new cards, which can be obtained through card packs as usual. These can either be bought in the shop for gold, real money, or earned in arena matches. For the first time, there are cross-class cards, which can be played by 3 classes each, allowing for new combination possibilities. For example, mages can access priest spells, or a hunter can pick up a trick or two from a paladin.

Free card packs through new quests

Apart from the new cards, Patch 7.0 also brought several improvements. Those searching for “missing” in their collection will receive a direct listing of all the cards they do not yet own. In addition, there are a handful of new quests that require players to join the different gangs of Gadgetzan and win 3 games with the corresponding classes. As rewards, players can claim 2 card packs – a total of 6 free packs.
