How to play the Troll deck “Togwaggel-Druid” correctly in Hearthstone

A Druid deck from Hearthstone causes despair for players. It uses a nasty trick and steals all options from the opponent.

In Hearthstone, funny deck ideas keep emerging that rely on a combination of various mechanics that result in great effects. Currently, there is a Druid deck that utilizes such a mechanic. We want to introduce you to the “Togwaggle Druid” deck today.

How does the deck work? The deck primarily uses two mechanics from two legendary minions. The first is King Togwaggle. With him, you can swap your deck with the opponent’s for 8 mana. However, the opponent receives a spell that allows them to swap the decks back.

This very possibility is what you want to deny the opponent.

For this, it is either necessary to play King Togwaggle when the opponent already has a full hand (then they cannot receive the spell) or to use a second variant: Azalina Soulthief.

This legendary minion swaps your hand for a copy of the opponent’s hand. This means you also get the swap card! If the opponent now swaps the decks back, you can do it one more time yourself.

The difficulty: Basically, there are two problems when implementing this mechanic. These are the two possible “win conditions,” one of which must be fulfilled at the right time.

• The opponent must have 10 cards in hand.
• King Togwaggle and Azalina Soulthief must be played in the same turn.

Both win conditions can be brought about in several ways.

Full hand of the opponent: If the opponent already has many cards in hand, you can fully fill your hand with Circle of Nature.

Togwaggle and Azalina in the same turn: The weapon Branch of the World Tree generates 10 mana as a death rattle. You should thus first play Togwaggle, then hit with the branch (it loses its last durability), and can then play Azalina.

Alternatively, you can hope for the Dream Petal Flourist. This is a minion that reduces the cost of a minion in hand by 7 at the end of the turn. Then, Togwaggle and Azalina can also be used in the same turn.

Overall, the deck is quite successful, but it is also great for “trolling” and simply having a lot of desperate opponents. If you want to try something new, you should best get your hands on the deck yourself!
