The Goblin is out of the wallet – the next Hearthstone add-on is called “The Streets of Gadgetzan”.
During the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2016, the next expansion of Hearthstone was introduced. The new card expansion is “The Streets of Gadgetzan”, as previously hinted at by various issues of the “Gadgetzan Gazette”.
However, the expansion revolves completely around the “backstreets” of Gadgetzan, where crime is on the rise. Three rival gangs vie for dominance and amass wealth through gun smuggling, strange potions, and assassinations. The whole thing is, of course, paired with plenty of Hearthstone humor, putting fun and entertainment in the foreground – unlike in “Whispers of the Old Gods”.
The new trailer reveals what kind of mood the new expansion is supposed to convey.
One of the biggest features is the new “Tri-Class Cards”. These are cards that can be used by 3 classes. There is a new set of cards that can only be used by Priests, Mages, and Warlocks. The special twist: these cards can cause you to suddenly have cards from other classes in your hand!
A new Harpy card has a Battlecry that reads “Discover a Mage, Priest, or Warlock card”. Those who have always wanted to try how a Mage plays with “Mind Control” or a Warlock with Fireballs will have their big moment in the upcoming add-on.
The Streets of Gadgetzan is set to be released in December. If you want, you can already pre-order 50 card packs from Gadgetzan now.
