The Lich King is a funny guy in Hearthstone . Among other things, he insults the developers of Hearthstone.
Meanwhile, all wings of the latest Hearthstone expansion Knights of the Frozen Throne are open, and many players have already tried their hand at the Lich King and his minions.
However, Blizzard has put in a lot of effort this time to properly capture the “soul” of the Lich King and give him many interactions. Players can experience these when they face the Lich King themselves and play the correct cards or perform the corresponding actions.
In total, there are 19 of these interactions (that have been discovered so far), and there may be a few more. The YouTuber Disguised Toast has created a video showcasing all the interactions he knows of.
In the fight against priests, the Lich King uses a spell that prohibits the priest from using emotes in the future. However, if this spell is copied beforehand with Mind Vision or another card, the priest can also silence the Lich King.
And even though we have actually destroyed the heart of the Lich King in WoW, his fondness for animals seems to still exist today. If you summon the Snow Waddler (the 1/1 penguin chick for 0 Mana), the Lord of Northrend admits that he loves the cute creature.
But Arthas not only reacts “in character” to various cards but also criticizes the game’s developers or his former servants. When you play Kel’Thuzad, he asks him annoyed if he is not in the wrong adventure.
When mages counter the spell that reduces the opponent’s HP to 1, he loudly complains about how “this crap got past quality assurance” – many people are probably wondering the same.
Did you notice these interactions too? Which ones do you like the most?
Have you seen the new Hearthstone cinematic? It strongly resembles a Pixar film.
