Just in time for today’s (18.01.2918) start of the HCT World Championship, players can dive into this week’s card chaos “Hall of Legends” from Hearthstone with the decks of the champions from past HCTs! These are the original OP decks from the years 2014, 2015, and 2016.
You will take on the roles of Hearthstone champions Ostkaka, Pavel, or Firebat. And the best part: All cards are still unnerfed, fresh as from back then!
Initially, upon logging in, players will receive a free card pack from Journey to Un’Goro to celebrate the start of the Championship.
Once you dive into the card chaos, you will randomly be assigned a finished deck of one of the highly successful champions between 2014 and 2016 – and the happy slashing can begin!
A Journey Through Time to the OP Decks of Old
For each of the offered decks, a brief description of the circumstances of the time is provided. This gives you a small insight into the past tournaments. A journey through time that is especially fun, considering that all cards have been reverted to their respective, original states: “Inspire,” for example, grants two mana instead of just one mana.
Three champions from 2014 to 2016 are in focus: Ostkaka, Pavel, and Firebat. Between three and four proven decks are offered that you can play here in the card chaos:
- Firebat (2014): Grave Robber Hunter, Ramp Druid, Secret Rogue, Zoo Warlock
- Ostkaka (2015): “Grim Patron” Warrior, Oil Rogue, Frost Mage
- Pavel (2016): Tempo Mage, Malygos Rogue, Midrange Shaman, C’Thun Warrior, Malygos OTK Druid
