How to Defeat Blood Queen Lana’thel (Blood Queen Lana’thel) in Hearthstone
The first boss of the second wing should be quite familiar to WoW players. The mechanics of Blood Queen Lana’thel are almost identical in World of Warcraft.
- No standard hero power: At the start of the match, Lana’thel transforms the player into a vampire and replaces their hero power with Vampiric Bite.
- Vampiric Bite must be used every turn and costs 0 mana. It grants a minion +2/+2 and turns it into a vampire.
To defeat Blood Queen Lana’thel, one only needs to follow a simple strategy: Play at least one minion each turn. This way, you avoid having to buff enemy minions.

Note: If you find yourself without a minion on the board, you must bite an enemy minion! If you do not bite anyone for a turn, you automatically lose the match!
For the fight, we use a simple Paladin deck that only contains minions with particularly low costs, such as the elven Archer or the Stonejaw Boar. Additionally, some minions with Charge, such as the Wolf Rider, are included. Extra buffs like Blessing of Might and Blessing of Kings to speed things up. The general strategy here is “Face is the Place” – always go straight for the boss’s face, without much regard for loss.
In summary, Lana’thel is a relatively easy boss that can be defeated relatively easily with the shown deck.
